PAPER BOARD (PVC & PET SHEETS)
PVC:
- PVC is the abbreviation of polyvinylchloride, a plastic. It is one of the most used compounds in the world with virtually uncountable applications. Plastic is a synthetic composite that has two major classes known as thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins. Thermosetting resin is hardened by the application of heat. It does not become malleable after manufacture. Thermoplastic resins on the other hand can be softened into malleable forms such as PVC and polythene.
- This versatility of PVC material enables manufacturers to create a wide variety of design formats.
- PVC bumper stickers may be embellished with a matte, gloss, gold leaf or plain paper finish.
- The best methods of printing PVC stickers include UV lithography, flexography, foil blocking offset printing and rotogravature.
PET Sheets:
- PET (also abbreviated PETE) is short for polyethylene terephthalate, the chemical name for polyester.
- PET is a clear, strong, and lightweight plastic that is widely used for packaging foods and beverages, especially convenience-sized soft drinks, juices and water. Virtually all single-serving and 2-liter bottles of carbonated soft drinks and water sold in the U.S. are made from PET.
- Because of PET’s unique properties, it is rapidly becoming the world’s preferred packaging material for foods and beverages. Like glass, it is a very strong and inert material that does not react with foods, is resistant to attack by micro-organisms, and will not biologically degrade. But unlike glass, PET is extremely lightweight, easy and efficient to transport, and shatterproof.
- PET is completely recyclable, and is the most recycled plastic in the U.S and worldwide. PET can be commercially recycled by thorough washing and re-melting, or by chemically breaking it down to its component materials to make new PET resin. Almost every municipal recycling program in North America and Europe accepts PET containers.
- PET can be commercially recycled by thorough washing and re-melting, or by chemically breaking it down to its component materials to make new PET resin. Products commonly made from recycled PET include new PET bottles and jars, carpet, clothing, industrial strapping, rope, automotive parts, fiber-fill for winter jackets and sleeping bags, construction materials, and protective packaging.
HOT FOILING
- Hot foiling stamping is a method of using high temperature and pressure to smear metallic foil or holograms on various types of material.
- It is top quality and highly recommended method of printing as it appeals consumer psychology.
- Hot foiling enhances the product by lifting its appearance to a new level, separates product from the mass, launches premium brand positioning, and offers brand protection.
- Hot foiling is used by packaging industry including pharma, tobacco, luxury good packaging, labels such as wine and spirits. It is also used for banknotes, greeting cards, and various other commercial printing.
- Madkarter with the technique of hot foiling provides its clients one of the premium offering in the print finishing industry.
METALIZED PAPER
- Metalized paper is a product that is covered with a coating of aluminium either with gloss or matte finish to provide decorative and shielding properties to a product.
- It is recognized in the market for its smooth surface and long life. It is mostly used for wrapping gifts and for the purpose of packaging.
- Metalized paper is considered eco-friendly and can be recycled. Its metallic properties don’t impede the recycling process.
- Metalized paper is used by label industries including liquor labels, beer labels, cosmetic labels, and high-end stickers and other purposes.
- In Madkarter with the help of innovative techniques we manufacture metalized paper for attractive labelling.
COLD FOILING COMING SOON
- During the cold foil process, a UV-curable adhesive is printed on the substrate in the shape of the design that is to be foiled. The foil is then pressed onto the material and is stripped away where no adhesive was printed. After a quick run under the UV light, the product is finished.
- Cold foil runs fast on press and precise registration is able to be achieved. It is available in a wide variety of patterns and colors, and no tooling is required for the process. Cold foil can be overprinted easily and may be utilized on heat sensitive materials. Cold foil is not a replacement for hot stamp, but rather another option for foiling on a package.
- In the first printing unit an adhesive is applied to the substrate in the design that is to be foiled. In the pressure nip of the following printing unit the cold foil web is in contact with the substrate and the metallic layer of the cold foil is transferred to the areas of the substrate where the adhesive has been applied before. The areas without glue will not be metallized and the metallic layer will remain on the polyester backing film.
More Advantages of Cold Foil
- Enables full-surface sheet decoration at high speeds
- Flexibility when creating designs
- Very fine elements, negative lettering, rosters, large areas and metallic half-tone effects is an easy process for Cold Foil
- Overprinting can be performed both inline and offline
- No need of an experienced operator for the ot Foil process
- No need to apply opaque white – the foil is simply omitted in the relevant areas
- Outstanding flatness of the output – optimal further processing
- Speed-to-market potential – very short production times
- Ideal for small print runs and frequent job changeovers
We at Madkarter Technologies provide you with a one stop solution for both your printing as well as publishing needs under one roof.
